Table Number Inspiration

Most couples will opt for set seating at their Wedding Breakfast, which means table names or numbers are key - your guests will need to be guided to where they’ll be sitting. Not only are they functional, they are a chance to continue your design theme, acting as beautiful addition to your table-scape.

Some couples opt for simple table numbers (1, 2, 3 etc.), whilst others add a more personal touch with unique names, for example -

⤜ Road names you’ve both lived on
⤜ Favourite holiday destinations / Important places
⤜ Favourite animals (one couple had bespoke safari animals, as that’s where they got engaged!)
⤜ Favourite books / Cocktails / Films / Musicians

Design-wise, lots of couples want to continue with the design theme from their other stationery (e.g. if you had a bespoke illustration on your invite with your favourite fonts, then you could use these on the table names too), but this isn’t to say you have to stick to it. Do whatever you want to do, it’s your day after all!

O T H E R T I P S

⧽ Make sure the text is clear enough/large enough to be seen from a distance, so your guests clearly know where to go

⧽ Ask your venue if they have holders you can use? If not, you can purchase your own or have them freestanding (leant against something else)

⧽ Have you thought about adding a frame? A lovely way to make them stand out!

⧽ If sticking to a budget is important to you, why not double up your menus and table numbers to save a little money?

⧽ Keep your flower arrangement and colours in mind and ensure they tie in nicely (as they will sit close together).
