Plant your paper 🌱

Read on to find out how to plant your card to grow your own seedlings & wildflowers!

Tip - It’s ideal to plant your card in warmer seasons/weather - it helps massively with getting the seedlings to germinate. Also, placing the pot somewhere humid will help, for example a bathroom with natural light.

Instructions:

1. Pop your paper into a shallow dish and cover with water. Keep in an area with natural light (e.g. a windowsill). You can tear the paper up if your prefer into 2-3cm pieces.

2. Keep moistening the paper daily and you should see the seeds start to sprout in 5-20 days (yay!)

3. Once they sprout, it’s time to plant your paper under a light layer of soil/compost and keep in a warm, well-lit area indoors.

4. Water your pot sparingly and keep it slightly moist (but not too wet!) at all times.

5. Your flowers should start to grow from this point!

The mix of British wildflower seeds in the card includes daisy, forget-me-not, poppy, rudbeckia, baby’s breath & black-eyed Susan.

_____________

Before planting, keep in a dry area and use within 2 years while germination rates are still high.

It is completely biodegradable, so if you decide not to plant it, pop it in your compost bin and it will naturally decompose. No matter what, know that seeded paper is always a more eco-friendly alternative to standard papers.

SEEDLING GUARANTEE

Seeded wildflower card is at the heart of my business, and it is very important to me that your card actually grows!

After a lot of research and trials, I have found my favourite card which has an excellent growth rate: White Rustic.

A lot of my customers opt for the Ivory Lux paper which has a smooth, luxurious feel - however this is a machine finished item meaning a lower chance of seedling growth.

With this in mind, occasionally your card may not play ball. If you are having difficulty getting it to grow, let me know and I will happily send you some Rustic samples to try again (free of charge).

Just drop an email to hello@belovedcreations.co with your order information/name of person who sent the card!

ECO-MATERIALS

In the past, being eco-conscious probably wasn’t at the fore-font of many couples’ minds for their big day, but now things are changing fast. There has been a boom in planet-friendly wedding stationery in the last few years, which is so brilliant - essentially people don’t want to be wasteful, and this is completely achievable.
Read on to find out how I keep my business sustainable…

I choose biodegradable, recycled, or recyclable materials for the majority of items (anything that isn’t, I encourage keeping as a memory, reusing or lending out).

PACKAGING

I proactively source packing materials from small, local suppliers who share my ethos on sustainability.
Everything from the box to the plastic-free tape is recyclable, so be sure to pop everything in the recycling bin.

If on the very odd occasion there is bubble wrap, please know this has been reused from another delivery (please reuse it too!).
